The Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District’s Lawn and Garden Program provides eligible residential and commercial applicants with monetary vouchers to reduce the cost of replacing existing gas- or diesel-powered lawn and garden equipment with battery-operated zero-emission lawn and garden equipment. No retroactive purchases are allowed.
Voucher Process:
Step 1: Complete and submit an application form linked below.
Step 2: Receive vouchers for the equipment you would like to replace.
Step 3: To redeem your vouchers, bring your existing equipment to the participating merchant of your choice so they can verify it is operational.
Step 4: After redeeming your vouchers, order or purchase your new equipment from the participating merchant of your choice.
Step 5: Before receiving your new equipment, surrender your existing equipment to the participating merchant of your choice to be scrapped. Some merchants may request for the applicant to deliver the equipment themselves to a salvage yard and bring back the receipt.
Go Green Home – Landscaping Program
The Go Green Home – Landscaping Program will provide vouchers to qualifying applicants for the purchase of cordless, zero-emission lawn and garden equipment from eligible participating merchants, which are listed below. The District is currently implementing the Go Green Home – Landscaping Program for households located on tribal lands or within state-designated disadvantaged communities only. This includes the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, northern West Sacramento and Rio Vista. Funding is provided by the Community Air Protection Incentives Program.

Go Green Business – Landscaping Program
The Go Green Business – Landscaping Program will provide vouchers to qualifying applicants for the purchase of cordless, zero-emission lawn and garden equipment from eligible participating merchants, which are listed below. The District is currently accepting applications for the program. No funding is currently available for projects located within the Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District. Funding is still available for public agencies, non-profits and schools located within the Placer County Air Pollution Control District, which encompasses all of Placer County. Funding is provided through the Carl Moyer Program.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Operate and permanently domicile equipment in Yolo County, Placer County, or northeastern Solano County*;
- Be a landscaping business, or a business, public agency, or nonprofit that conducts landscaping work on a commercial scale**; and
- Have operational gas or diesel-powered equipment to exchange for cordless, zero-emission lawn and garden equipment.
*Placer County Air Pollution Control District serves all of Placer County. Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District serves all of Yolo County and eastern Solano County; if you’re unsure of whether you’re located within Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District, please refer to this map.
**No funding is available for Placer County businesses. Only Placer County nonprofits, schools, and public agencies can participate at this time.
