Wildfires and Air Quality

Wildfires can pose serious health risks to the public, and Yolo-Solano AQMD incorporates smoke education into its outreach efforts. During wildfire season, the best way to prevent adverse health effects from wildfire smoke is to be aware of where there are smoke problems and to avoid increasing intake of that unhealthy air. Depending on the circumstances, that could mean anything from temporarily relocation for those with respiratory issues or a rescheduling of outdoor events.

* You can get current wildfire reports and maps at CalFire's website.
